• The NZ Herald argues against binding referendums. I largely agree – although I think we should have a “People’s Veto” on Bills of Parliament, in the case of s59 that would’ve actually lead to a repeal of the enactment in question.
• Bernard Hickey reports New Zealand’s rate of savings has collapsed. Is this KiwiSaver’s fault?
